Description

Avian Versus Carbon Fork

The Avian Versus Carbon Fork steerer tube is made of 4mm thick 7005 aluminum and features an M10 thread internal locking system to eliminate expander plugs & star nuts that often compromise fork strength. The aero carbon fiber legs are made of highly durable Toray fiber, and the alloy drop-outs are available in your choice of 10mm or 20mm.

What do you want out of a fork? We think we’ve ticked all the boxes. This full carbon design is among the lightest on the market, has tested the strongest against competitors, and is beyond user-friendly. The integrated locking system on this fork eliminates the need for uncommon tools that you might need to install aftermarket steerer locking on other forks, and when paired with our Avian headset, the split-bearing race allows you to install this fork with nothing more than a 6mm allen key.

Important Torque Spec Info:

Please use a torque wrench when installing this fork onto the bike. If the stem’s side bolts are over-tightened, you run the risk of crushing/damaging the carbon steerer tube which can lead to the product failing. Further, the fork’s integrated locking system has an alloy bolt/head, so if it’s over-tightened then you will strip it. Tighten between 4-5Nm is fine, but do not exceed 5.5Nm.

FORK COMPATIBILITY:

This fork has a 1" carbon steerer tube, but it's compatible with BMX frames that have both 1" and 1-1/8" head-tubes. You will just need the correct headset size. Headset spec will be determined by your frame manufacturer, but you can always e-mail us for advice. Rider weight limit for this fork is 115lbs.
