Description
Hutch Pro Racer Custom Built bmx bike, owners retro old school bike
Part 1
This is my Hutch Pro Racer Custom Built bmx bike. There is a story to be told about how I still have it. Anyone know it? Well, I'd like to add that this bike and my friends custom JMC where stolen form us while we were inside playing those great arcade games around 1982. I got the idea to follow the tire tracks the accused made while riding up the side of the road in the sand like deposits. Yes, Tioga Comp III tire tracks where followed about 7 miles into the city. We spotted them jokers riding our bikes around and flagged down a cop who kindly retrieved them for us.
Part 2
As the years flew by and my interests turned to girls and 1969 Firebirds, I sold my bike at my fathers bike ship where I worked everyday after school. Many years later a friend of mine brought the bike into our bike shop and said he got it at a garage sale. I calmly and happily said, "Hey thats my bike" so I bought it back from him and now I just look at it from time to time and think about how lucky I really am. Its a miracle from God. Believe.
Part 3
While working at our 2nd bike shop in Binghamton New York a older guy who collects old vintage bikes brought this bike in to show me. I saw that it was my bike that I sold in high school and immediatly bought it off him for a fair price. He was kind enough to sell it back to me, the original owner.
Remember Wes BMX in New York? The owners son and I are friends. Wes practically started the BMX revolution and Americancycle followed in his wake. More to follow...
That's owners 1967 Camero Convertible in the lower picture.
