This bike shows Old School Style combined with new school sizing. The headset is 1 1/8" threadless. Raising and lowering this new school type of them is done by adding or removing the 1 1/8" spacers. The spacers come in different thicknesses so you can make the proper adjustment. The top of the stem center hole should be about 1/8" above the top of steerer tube. The headset cap should not contact the steerer tube. The top cap is what adjusts the tension on your headset bearings, so do'nt over tighten. Also, you may want to leave your steerer tube long (dont't cut) so you can raise the stem if needed. This bike has a Bombshell wheelset in white installed.
